SPCA NOVA Website

In 2017, the SPCA of Northern Virginia (SPCA NOVA) decided it was ready to update its 8-year-old website to something mobile friendly. Development of the website was a team effort by SPCA NOVA’s volunteer leadership, Hart Strategic Marketing LLC, and me. The first step in this process was for me to update its logo, which was finalized later that year. Once a WordPress template (Avada) was chosen, I began designing the look of the site in Photoshop based on Avada’s available features. Once the design was approved, Hart did the backend development and programming in WordPress. Hart and I built the majority of the pages for the site. I taught myself how to use Avada’s Fusion Builder in WordPress, as well as how to create forms in Formstack. I also did a thorough design and editorial review of every page on the site, ensuring consistency in language and appearance. The site was launched in the spring of 2019.
